A kind of mixtape/business card from Akron-based Audio Eagle Records of 21 indie and post-punk bands hailing from all parts of Ohio, this fun set shows that rock is still alive and well in the Midwest. There's a lot to like here, including former Guided by Voices guitarist Doug Gillard's Nuggets-inflected "For What I've Done," the fascinating and goofy "Earthworms in the Sun" by Coffinberry, the north Mississippi-sounding "Nobody But You" by the Black Keys (Black Keys member Patrick Carney is actually the founder of Audio Eagle), and the lovely "Stolen Moments" by Six Parts Seven.
