This is an absolutely awesome way for fans who are parents now, and are raising children who like the new generation of Kiss to show them what they were like in the 70's.

Great
I have been downloading everything I could for the last up teen years of Kiss (over 150GB), I have to say thanks Gene for putting this out and not making it over priced. I did not even know it was coming out. Once I seen it I PAID for it.

Finally....
I was at that '77 show in Houston. It's great to finally see the old Paul Lynde spot, the Midnight Special set, and the Rock Concert again. Back when I saw them aired, all I had was an old B W tv set. Finally, someone got it right and released what we've all wanted to see.

  David from Aguadilla, PR
KISS IS KISS
I have been waiting for a long time to see the olds VHS videos in DVD. The footage really looks nice.

  Ronnie Vaughan from Vancouver Canada
What a flashback
I just got my copy. It only came out here today 11-7-06. This is wicked, and such a great price. I've had most of the material for years as bootlegs but this is so much better. I got the Madison Square disc as a bonus, now to find the other 2 bonus discs. Any Ideas. Oh ya, I have found 2 easter eggs already.

KISSOLOGY
KISS RULES!

Measures up to hype
Most KISS products in recent past do not usually measure up to the months of hype preceding the release date. For example: Gene's solo album. This DVD measures up and surpasses all the hype. What I like most about the 4 full concerts and the bonus concert (Largo MSG, don't have the 3rd one yet) that the footage is of the band and hardly ever takes shots of the crowd. I'm not paying hard earned money to see strangers in the audience. The images are crystal clear and despite a few glitches that are from the original tape, they are perfect. I have been waiting to see the Budokhan concert since i saw it on HBO in '77-78 and that was originally only an hour of footage. I only hope Vols. 2 3 are as good. This is a must buy for any KISS fan who has been watching $h!&&ty versions of bootlegged video tapes and DVDs. Great job guys. Kudos to Tommy Thayer and all those involved in putting this great piece of KISS memorabilia together. the packaging and everything are first rate.

  Jim from Tulsa, OK
Awesome

  brian highfill from N.W. oklahoma
extremely better than previous videos
still waiting for the complete magic mountain performance.

  A reviewer from Westland, MI
This is what KISS was and is supposed to be!
If you want to see why KISS broke huge, just check out the 1976 Cobo arena show on disc one. This DVD set is worth the money just for this little section alone! The best KISS purchase I have ever made, bar none.

  Space Ace from IL
eggs revealed
pull up main menu...highlight the KISS logo and press enter. The egg on the 2nd disc is Kiss playing at Ace's wedding....sweet!!!

HAWAII 1976
I SAW KISS IN HAWAII IN 1976 AND THAT WAS IT. I'VE BEEN A KISS FAN FOR 30 YEARS NOW. I SAW THE COBO HALL CONCERT AT THE MOVIES ON OCT 26 2006 AND IT WAS AWESOME. IF YOU EVEN THINK YOU MIGHT LIKE THIS......GET IT.

  LILIA DELGADO from MEXICO CITY
PURE GOLD N´ ROCK IN THE SAME PACKAGE!!
I THINK THIS IS A LONG AWAITED ITEM FOR PURE KISSTERYCAL FANS. LET´S HOPE VOLUMES II AND III WILL KEEP THE QUALITY OF THIS ONE!. KISS STILL RULES, AND HERE IN MY COUNTRY THEY ARE STILL CONSIDERATED ONE OF THE BEST BANDS EVER!. LONG LIVE KISS!! I HAD THE BIGGEST PLEASURE OF MEET THE BAND ONCE WHILE THEY PLAY IN MY COUNTRY, GENE IS "THE BRAIN" AND PAUL IS THE BEST SHOWMAN EVER!. PAUL IS LIKE WINE: GETTIN´ OLDER IS A BETTER TASTE, HUM!

Pat "The Rev."Howard from Colon,"The Magic Capital Of The World" MI
I'd give it 50 stars if I could. Wow! What memories.
Just absolutely Superb! Saw this life changing band for the first time when I was 15.That would be Jan.1975. Reed Feildhouse,Kalamazoo MI. Two days later they were recording Alive-1 at Cobo Hall, Detroit. The place is still shakin.Last song "Let Me Go,R R" I lost count of how many times Ace fell down, and never missed a lick! They CARRIED him off the stage when it was over.Been to 4 others since, and probably 45 other concerts, and nothing did or ever will compare. These DVDs capture the MAGIC of this great band.

  Antony Zeccola from Melbourne, Australia
Thank God for Video!
As an Australian, they were just hotting up down under from late 1976 to early 1977... I guess 77 was the peak... To see 74, 75 and 76 was (almost) better than sex. This band changed my life and listining to, and now watching classics like "Parasite" and "Got To Choose" in a live situation... just blow's my mind! Peters 5 minute and 50 second drum solo at Winterland in 1975 was SOOO GOOD! And to she "SHE", one of Kiss's greatest musical compositions, live, in full colour AND in the original costumes from "The Midnight Special"!!! I'm speechless. I CAN NOT wait for VOL 2! [But please don't put Largo 79 on there... we all have it and hate it... find a concert that Peter did a good job on, mix and match if need be. Another conversation for another time perhaps...] Back to VOL 1... Awesome! You guys rock!! THANKYOU!!!
