This is another great collection of Molam music: a strange and wonderful combination of rural Thai singing and songs with rock instrumentation. They're all sung in Thai, with some featuring traditional instruments to some degree, but then there are distorted fuzz guitars and wailing organs as well as some recycled classic rock riffs (notably "Jumpin' Jack Flash" on "Lam Plern Chawiwan"). It's both totally foreign (unless you're Thai, of course) and yet somehow familiar and tons of fun. Highlights include the shimmering synths of "Beua Ai Laeo Bo," the fuzz guitar on "Nam Jai Fan," the heavy bass groove of "Mob Natee Hai Luk Keuy" and the odd breakdown in "Raiteem Tarn." Although there is some distortion here and there, overall the sound quality is pretty good and the songs can't help but put a smile on your face.
