Although many of the band's biggest hits are on Time Flies...The Best of Huey Lewis & the News -- "Do You Believe in Love," "Workin' for a Livin', " "Heart and Soul, " "I Want a New Drug, " "The Heart of Rock & Roll, " "If This Is It, " "The Power of Love, " "Stuck with You" and "Doing It All for My Baby" -- the selection is remarkably uneven, bypassing many major hits from Fore! ("Hip to be Square, " "Jacob's Ladder, " "I Know What I Like") and neglecting the latter-day hit singles "Perfect World" and "Couple Days Off" completely, both of which were worth salvaging from their respective albums. In their place are four new songs, which are pleasant but unremarkable. Even though it is flawed, Time Flies remains a useful compilation, since it gathers all of the very best singles, particularly the ones from Sports and Picture This, in one place. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine, All Music Guide
