As a special education teacher and parent of a child with Autism Spectrum Disorder, I am thrilled to see VHI contributing to the Autism Society. This will benefit not only monetarily but more importantly by spreading the word about Autism Spectrum Disorder and the afffect it has on so many families! Thanks!

My 7 yr old son has moderate autism
At first is did not know what was going on with my son. His learning stopped at the age of 3 1/2 4 yrs of age. When they told me he was moderate autism I was in shock. I did not know what to do. I cried alot and prayed for him. I had to educate my self and read about it. I still read about it. With all the programs they have and with the help of my parents and his teachers help ,I see my son improving everyday. He's in reading programs and has the highest reading level in his class. He also will be attending summer school and the reading program he was in last summer.I help my son to live a normal life, and i love to see his improvements. He talks alot better now. It's nice to be able to hear his opinion. All i have to say is never give up hope. I see my son learning something new every day. I'm so glad vh1 has classic rocks autism everyone needs to learn more about it. Thanks so much.

Great job VH1!
I just wanted to say THANK YOU VH1! When I saw the PSA all I could think was how many people are going to finally be aware of this disorder. We have been pushing for a diagnosis for 4 years. My son is now 6 years old and has been diagnosed with PDDNOS. It means alot to ALL the parents out there who deal with this on a daily basis. Thank you all for helping to raise awareness.

You are angels!
When I saw this particular PSA I thought thank these beautiful rockers for speaking out on this important cause. I have a 4 year old daughter with PDD_NOS and a 2 year old son with autism and I am determined to fight this battle and get them the treatment that they need. They deserve like any other child to have the same hopes and dreams and together we as a community can get there. God bless you guys!

Help others understand Autism
Vh1 is providing a great way to show your support for children and families affected by Autism. I have taught art to Autistic students for 6 years and it is the most challenging and special part of my day! I got a shirt for my son to help him understand how important it is to educate yourself about others.

thank you vh1 and all of the rock stars who got involved to support the fight for autism. My 15 year old son is autistic and he loves music especially KISS and it was through KISS songs we were able to reach him and make progress in interaction. He is very special. With support like this we can find a cure. ROCK ON!!

great for autism awareness
my friend has three brothers each with their own type of autism. The VH1 Classic Rock Autism Awareness is a great way to really tell people about autism.

  Lila from Long Beach, CA
WORDS CANNOT DESCRIBE MY GRATITUDE
I've been a huge fan of VH1 Classic from day one. I thought I couldn't love you any more than I did...then I found out that you were going to raise awareness on autism. You see, I have an 18-year old younger brother with mild to moderate autism. He wasn't diagnosed until later on in life. He's a big fan of rock music like myself. It seems like that's one of the few things that really make him happy. It's just the two of us, so I've always considered myself to be his protector. I do worry about him. We live in a world where ignorance still roams freely. Raising awareness about autism will get the ball rolling for those of us who have known about it for years. Thank you so much for all the hard work that being put into this. My entire family, my brother especially, really appreciate this.

Thank You VH1 Classic and musicans!!
It is great to see some awareness for this disorder! My 6 yr. old son was recently diagnosed with PDD and it is hard to get support in my hometown. Thanks for bringing Autism to light!!

  Michelle Watts from Columbia, SC
Thank you
My son is now almost 15, after battling doctors for what seemed like forever he was diagnosed with autism when he was 4. He is very high functioning and has a great apprectation for music. His love for Rock and Roll has helped him overcome sound sensatvity. He is able to go to concerts and not cover his ears. This has also helped with his ability to be in a crowd. I will never be able to repay the musicians that have reached out and touched my sons life. This includes the musicians that he has met and knows and the ones he idolizes. Thank you for the awarness that you are bringing to the research, understanding and hopefully one day a cure.

  A reviewer from Tebbetts, Mo

awesome concept!
This is a combination of 2 things I have a great passion for - creating awareness for autism and VH1 classic rock! I have worked with students with autism for 6 years now, & I have several friends with kids with autism, so this is something that is very dear to my heart. Thanks everyone for your support. This is an awesome concept that I hope will raise awareness everywhere.

I have autististic triplets and am so glad for rock autism and the awareness it raises. It's about time we educate the world on autism. It does my heart good to know there are people in all walks reaching out to help.

Music to a child with Autism is a better life.
My four year old was just diagnosed with Functional Autism. Rock and Roll is one of the ways I am able to get her out of her own world and share mine with her. It was amazing to see some of our favorite Rock and Roll artist give us this great way to raise awarness of this confusing condition.

  A reviewer from Rochester, NY
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!!!
I cannot thank you enough, my youngest son is 9 and has Autism (PPD) he is an amazing child. I believe in early intervention. He is in a wonderful program, he is very smart and high sensory. I wouldn’t trade my baby for the world. Thank you so much for supporting this and helping us get one step closer to a cure.

  Tamra from Indiana
Fantastic
This is great. There needs to be so much done/researched on Autism and you guys putting this out there is FANTASTIC.

  Kathy from Florida
Excellent news!
Thanks VH1,my son was diagnosed at 3 with PDD it is in the autisic spectrum. He is now 18 and off to college this Aug., he had ALOT of different therapies and early interventation was the key. He is on his way to a normal life. We just need to educate everyone about this disorder and find a cure because the numbers are growing. 1993 it was 1 out of 25,000. Now 1 out of 125. This is an epidemic!

I am so glad so many are now speaking out on this cause. My best friends youngest has it and I know there is so much not being done. This really makes me smile. Great Job VH-1 Classics and all the musicians who are helping get the word out!!!!

Thank you!
Wow! Just caught the PSA and I LOVE IT! So many of my favorite musicians speaking of a subject near and dear to my heart. My 9-year-old son was diagnosed with autism 7 years ago - we've been on this road a while! But I am so very grateful that VH1 is speading awareness - and while there is no cure, our kids are battling every day to simply figure out this world and how to live in it. Thanks for caring about our funny, smart, happy and unique kids!!

  Kim from Memphis Northern Burbs,TN
YAY! VH1 YOU ROCK!
THANKS VH1!!!!!! I was floored by the PSA and the amount of star power geared toward an affliction that seemed forgotten when my son was diagnosed 13 years ago. He is now 15, seriously digs ROCK (LedZep, Kiss, ACDC, Aerosmith, on on on) and although it is a daily pain in the rumpus living with it, he is the most awesome kid you will ever meet! I LOVE YA VH1! Keep on ROCKIN!

  A reviewer from Cincinnati, OH
Thanks for the PSA
As the mother of a child with Autism I am so proud of VH1 and every artist involved in this campaign. My husband and I sat speechless as we watched the PSA. We were so touched by the level of involvement. We will tell everyone we know to help support this effort. This is type of awareness needed to help solve the puzzle of Autism. Our thanks to VH1 and every artist involved.

  Alison from Denair, CA
rock on
This is fabulous! I have a 12 yr old and a 7 year old within the autism spectrum. I hear people talk that their friends are in denial about their child being autistic, if caught early it makes a world of difference for the children. My oldest was just diagnoised and my youngest was diagnoised at 2 1/2 and now he finally talks now at 7 yrs old. Please keep spreading the word. I had no idea in the beginning!

Aunt Chris from St. Louis, MO

As a mother of a 7 year old son with autism, it makes me so happy to see musical artist helping the cause. I hope there is a day when we can take our children out in public and they not get stared at and we don't get looked at as terrible parents because our children are different. Thanks again

For my son
Hi! Thank you so much for doing this!! I love the shirt. I have a 29 year old son with Autism. When he was diagnosed there was no awareness nor was there education available. He was part of 4 new programs and as an adult was part of a new program for school to work. His Autism was caused by the shots he received at 13 months old. He is a great guy, has a great part time job and a wonderful support person that works with him during the day. He also lives at home. He attends a men's bible study every Monday night. So parents of young ones hang in there and fight a good fight, it will help you in the end.

GREAT JOB
I THINK IT'S GREAT THAT AUTISM IS FINALLY COMING OUT INTO THE OPEN MORE. MY 5 YEAR OLD WAS DIAGNOSED A YEAR AGO AFTER A LONG BATTLE TO FIND OUT WHY HE DIDN'T TALK. NOW HE IS GETTING THE HELP HE NEEDS AND IS GETTING THE SPEECH THERAPY THAT HE NEEDS. AND I'M TELLING YOU HE HAS COME A LONG WAY WITH HIS SPEECH. IT BRINGS TEARS TO YOUR EYES WHEN HE FINALLY SAID MOMMY AND I LOVE YOU.

thank you for helping us rock this!!!
THANK YOU!!! i'm 19, and i work at a school for autism people!!! 5-22 age group, and these people are so misunderstood. they can be very smart. they just need our help, and it's really hard to find good people to help. i get bit, scratched, kick, hit, headbanged, cursed at, and spit at. but when a kid who does not speek, say's his or hers first word at the age of like 9. it's a really great feeling, that i was apart of that. so thank you!!! to everyone who has ties to this!!!

  Mary from Portsmouth, VA.
